    Revision Notes 22nd July 1998

While there's a rumour going round that the site's being updated, I thought I'd surprise everyone, and update it again! Shocker!

What's been added? Hmm, to prevent the pictures downloading every time for "non-cachers", I've shifted them to their own place - the imaginitively-titled "Gallery". Carl informs me he has more pictures on the way, so hopefully we'll get to see more of Carl looking gaunt from around the world. Oh yes!

Since the original idea was to chronicle Carl and Andrew parting, and re-meeting up (check out "The Story" if you don't believe me), since Carl's been doing the interesting stuff, the site took a more Carl-biased angle - not anymore! Enter "Thom's Diversion".

Oh, yeah - and at Carl's request, I also have a list of where he was, how long it took him to get there, and all that good stuff, which I've appended to the Itinerarararary to compare and contrast.

Still no Carl's Chronicle update this time, but I've added quite a bit, so I'm conscience-free. For those of you not slumped against your desks by now, cheers for checking out the site.

    Keep it green, my friends.

    Revision Notes 9th July 1998

If we have any readers/surfers left out there, thanks for tuning in once more. Sorry about the delay between this and the last update, hopefully it will get updated a little more regularly from now on.

I've just received a mammoth posting that's going to have to be transcribed for the chronicle, but the sheer volume of it arriving at the same time is doing its best to put me off. It's on the list, though, and since I'm unemployed and are going to remain so for the forseeable future, there's a better than average chance of it being done fairly quickly.

Well, that about wraps up this update, only the pictures added, but it'll keep you going until next time. If at any time you're thinking, "Hang on, the site should be updated by now!" and it hasn't been, well just email me a kick up the arse and I'll be sure to get right on the job. As it were.

Anyway, H.A.G.O., as they say in Mawali.

    Revision Notes 22nd May 1998

As you've probably noticed, it's changed again! Either I've got too much time on my hands at work, or I'm incredibly bored. Though I suspect it's a little from column A and a little from column B.

The itinerararary has been re-done now, but only us poor MSIE4-types know whether it's working or not. So, if you've got Netscape drop us an email at the link above, because as you can imagine, I'm having sleepless nights pondering the format of a world-traveller's itinerary while I'm here in the West Midlands.

    Revision Notes 20th May 1998

Woah! What's going on here, then?!

Well, I'm glad you asked. If you've not been here before, then click on The Story below, and it'll fill you in.

For those of you still with us, hey, welcome back. We're looking a bit different today, aren't we? Unless, of course, you've already seen this page before, in which case we're looking very much the same.

There are a few reasons for the change. The first one being that I was told that the site was a bit crap, and that it wasn't behaving correctly when using certain browsers. One of the problems was my inability to code an HTML TABLE correctly, so why, I ask myself, did I choose to put these notes in a table, knowing that it is highly likely that I'm going to balls it up again.

Another reason was that the old guestbook wasn't working 100%, either, so I've put a new one in, so don't let my efforts go to waste, and please make an effort to sign it.

The final reason was that the aim of the whole site appears to have changed, too. Whilst it was initially to chronicle the travels of Carl Morton and Andrew Thomas, whilst Carl's been wandering around Egypt, Israel, and India, Andrew's US job fell through at the last hurdle, and he's had to make do with Rhyl, Cheltenham, and Leeds. Hardly the destinations of a certified Johnny Travel. Chicken farming in Lev-Hasharon is a world away from getting a down-to-the-bone bar-tan in West Yorkshire, and so only Carl's travels have made the chronicle so far.

Right, I'm done. Stick a fork in me. If you've any comments, additions, amendments, anything... don't be shy, email me from the link above.

    Have a great one.

Credits As of 9th July 1998

Emma Toyne - for sending in Carl's letters... eventually.
Paul Filkin - for confirmation that the old site was knackered, and acknowledging the fact that I couldn't be arsed to do the itinerary properly and so did it for me...
Andrew Hadlington - for signing the old guestbook 10 of the 14 times, and for being Scan Boy.
Alex Kelly - for keeping me guessing who Dan Gleaballs was...
The Gremlin Guy - It's been so long now, not only have I forgotten what it was he did, but I've also forgotten his real name, and whether it's him, or Jonny Williamson I'm supposed to be thanking.
Lee Clarke - for 'lending' me his house while he went on a jolly to Africa.
James Lawson and his World Famous Arse!
